Holy cow, er, pig! Yesterday’s post was my 500th! As a “Happy Blogiversary” gift, would anyone still reading this little blog please leave a comment?
Here’s the very first post.
Some other favorite posts from 2004 & 2005. I’ll post 2006 and 2007 favorites tomorrow.
Bad morning and 44
I love the pigtails photo! Congratulations on reaching 500 :).
I thought I’d be first in, but I forgot my google password and jo beat me! We’re still lurking out here about 90 miles to your south. It’s nice to see what’s up with you folks as we walk down some of the same trails together – it’s comforting to keep up with the frustrations and disappointments, along with the joys and successes – life in a nutshell.Sugar Creek Farm inspired me to start my own blog – and I just noticed today that in 2 more days, it will be 1,000 posts milestone. See what you’ve done! And I know others have started their own blog or became more aware of the importance of small family farms and local foods because of a chain of events that starts with one person! Thanks to you and all the rest of you who are being the change in the world.
Congrats and a shout out!
piggies!happy blogiversary! I love your writing and photos!
Hi there from 4,000 miles East. Congratulations!
Congrats! Look at all that lovely bacon…
Congratulations on the milestone! I read often, but comment infrequently. I love your photos and a glimpse of a life I miss here in the major chaos of Wash.D.C. Keep posting!
Happy Anniversary! Well, you know I’m still here….like an annoying cyber neighbor or something!!! LOL! 🙂
Congratulations on reaching 500 posts!I love reading your blog. You write very well and have great pictures. I plan on having a farm one day where I raise my own meat and vegetables for my family. Since I’m totally stuck in a city for the next six years or so until I finish school, it’s fun to read your blog and dream about my future!
I have you on my RSS feed right up near the top! Thanks for brightening my day so many days. You can tell you miss living in Iowa when a picture of muddy pigs at the trough is a pleasant sight and not “ewww filty animals.” 🙂 Godspeed to you and yours.
Congrats…What an awesome picture!
Such a cute photo. I’ve been reading for quite a while. I found you last year when trying to come up with a name for my blog. We live on a Sugar Creek in SE Iowa and wanted to name my blog Sugar Creek Farm. 🙂
The piggies are adorable, and congrats to you on the 500 mark! That’s so exciting. I know I don’t always comment, but I do always read via Bloglines!
Happy Anniversary! My mother and I enjoy reading your blog! Julie

Great photo. Yours is the first blog I encountered. I think my mom in PA sent me the link to you, I’m not sure how she found you. She reads your blog sporadically, and count me as a regular reader!
I am enjoying reading your blog and hope you have another 500 posts!
Happy 500!! I married an Iowa boy (from down Grinnell way) and grew up on a ranch in Nebraska myself – reading your blog takes me home again, even though I live in Ohio! Keep up the good work!
