Nice picture. I like how they all seem to want to be at the top of the ladder. I can’t get over how they all look so different. I guess I’m used to seeing ordinary white chickens..
Strange looking chicken there with those feathers on it’s head, or well you know what I mean! They are pretty. I always liked chickens, to raise that is, not necessarily in the stew pot! We always had chickens when I was growning up on the farm. For eating and for the eggs. It was always so much fun to gather the eggs!
It’s so nice to see that my “first thing in the morning hairstyle” is also being sported by your chiken in the front of the photo! 😉 What a great shot — love these pics!
That chicken with the ‘do is a golden Polish rooster and he’s one of my favorites. His “hat” is usually more fluffy than this, but winter weather seems to give him flat hair. I call him Jimmy, cuz he reminds me of Jimmy from Good Times for some reason.
I think I see some hens with fluffy faces? We had a few hens hatched from a Australorp hen and a Americana(auracana) rooster that have odd top feathers or fluffy faces.

I meant when I was GROWING up on the farm, not growning up! 🙂
