Go fly a kite

Nothin’ but blue skies, do I see
Isn’t that the most gorgeous blue sky?

The hardware store guy got a chuckle out of Olivia, picking out this skull-and-crossbones kite over the pink princess kites and the purple pony kites.

“This kite’s for you?”

“Yep.”

As kids, EVERY Easter we each got a kite in our basket. EVERY Easter we went to Grandpa’s farm in Greeley, Iowa. EVERY Easter we’d snag at least one kite in the tall pine windbreak or snap a string and watch it flutter into the sow/boar pen where we were too scared to go. Thanks for sharing the pics and reminding me. 🙂

  2. Haymaker – thanks for sharing your kite memories! Fun! Rafe’s was an Easter basket kite, too.
