After 3 days the snow finally stopped this afternoon, so I stepped outside to see how everybody fared and snap a few pictures. As I turned my lens on the feeder calves I saw what I hadn’t noticed before. One of these things just doesn’t belong here…
One of these things just isn’t the same…
See it? (And I’m not talking about the duck. They’re sort of a permanent fixture around the cattle.)
Okay, how about from this angle? See it now?
That one silly little black pig just doesn’t like to stay on his side of the fence!

Seems like he is pretty smart – going whereever the food is…….did you get lots of snow?Kris
Have been following you for a little while now and want to say thank you for your beautiful photos and your wonderful thoughts. I am in a huge transition in my life right now and it is just one day at a time and I enjoy all the inspiration that others have to share. I am a farm girl through and through From Rural SW VA in the Blue Ridge Mountains and have been many places since then and am about to go full circle and move back with my little flock of animals. I am using my blog as somewhat of a gratitude journal and as my eye on the prize so to speak and I love women who inspire which in turn empowers others. Many do not realize the impact that they have and I just wanted to share your little impact on me. Thank You and keep sharing those beautiful pics.Always, Shellyhttp://featherednestfarm.blogspot.com/
Kris – I think about 11 inches? Enough already!Shelly – thank you so much for your comment! I sometimes feel like it's just me & the crickets here, so your kind words made my day & mean so much to me! Best of luck with your journey…I will follow along 🙂
