Sitting on the downhill slope to a creek, as we do, means some wet conditions come springtime.
It starts in our neighbor’s field to the east…
Continues on towards the barnyard…
Right through the middle of the cattle yard…
And on into Sugar Creek…
These pictures were taken last week. Now we’re under a winter storm warning for the next 24 hours, expecting up to 10 inches of snow to drop. Then we’ll start the melting all over again.
Geez. How far are you from Muscatine? I’m going up there next week. 10 inches of snow???Can’t you do something about directing that flow through your property to make it more user friendly? Seems like a couple of small berms here and there might make things more manageable.
They were saying we’d be getting 6-8″, but we barely got a dusting — so I’m hoping you luck out too! As I look at this, all I can think of is how tempting it would look to my three dogs — who just LOVE to play in the water — even better if it’s water and mud! Good luck!
Pablo – we’re a few hours northwest of Muscatine. We only ended up with maybe a couple inches. Whew! What brings you to Muscatine?
