First calf of ’09 (and some random chicken)

Today’s predicted winter storm never did bring any snow…but it brought us our first calf! Good ‘ol number 68 dropped a nice big bull calf this afternoon.

Oy, those ears! Kill me with cuteness. What a wonderful way to go.

    That picture made me laugh out loud. That little calf did not look happy about leaving his cozy living quarters.

    The first picture is so funny–the little calf just born, a bit confused about where it is, and a chicken just wandering by!

  5. fm & Christy – he'd only been "out" a few minutes at this point, most definitely not happy yet!Kris – we've 9 to gos – the chicken made me laugh almost as much as the calf 🙂
